Use the Mask modifier when you want to apply the alpha (opacity) value of another layer to the current layer. By default, the Mask modifier inserts a Rounded Rectangle as a mask.

The Mask modifier comes with an Alignment property which you can adjust to set the alignment for the mask in relation to the layer.

In this example, the Symbol is masked by a Rounded Rectangle with a 20% opacity.
