Accessibility Sort Priority Modifier
Accessibility Sort Priority Modifier

Set the sort priority order of a layer’s accessibility element, relative to other layers at the same level.

Updated over a week ago

By default, every layer has a sort priority of 0, but you can apply the Accessibility Sort Priority modifier to increase the priority of a layer. Assistive technologies always sort the highest numbers first; therefore, a layer with a priority of 2 comes before priority 1, and so on.

This is useful when, for example, VoiceOver isn’t able to infer the correct order to read layers due to a complex layer hierarchy. It’s also useful when the visual order does not match the intended reading order.

In this example, the last Text layer will be read first, the first Text layer will be read second, and the middle layer will be read last.
